Group Sessions

One of the benefits of group sessions is showing all participants that they are not alone. Addiction is an isolating disease, and it can cause many people to feel lonely and misunderstood. Even after recovery begins, there is the potential to feel alone. Fortunately, group sessions can eliminate this feeling entirely. Plus, the group environment points out that you’re not the only person who has to struggle with addiction. Realizing that so many others are in the same boat can get rid of a victim mentality. Seeing addiction as an illness, not a punishment, may provide a more positive outlook for some clients.
